LOCAL MODEL VIEWER
View OBJ Mesh Geometry
Inspect OBJ mesh geometry locally, including supported polygon faces and object groups.
Supported preview
Geometry-first OBJ: vertices, normals, positive/relative face indices, and simple planar polygons of up to 128 vertices.
Inspect shape independently of surface appearance
This preview loads vertices, supported polygon faces and object/group boundaries. It triangulates planar polygons for display and recomputes face normals. A plain shaded model is expected: OBJ material files, textures and smoothing groups are not rendered or fetched.
How to use this viewer
- Choose an OBJ containing polygon mesh geometry.
- Inspect the model with orbit, zoom, pan and fit controls.
- Review bounds, object/group counts and omitted-property warnings.
Limitations to check
- Materials, textures and smoothing groups are omitted. Referenced files are never fetched.
- Units are unspecified. Source normals are validated and face normals are recomputed.
- Curves, lines, points, rational vertices, non-planar or self-intersecting polygons and forward references are rejected.
File and processing limits
- OBJ input up to 25 MiB; 750,000 vertices, 250,000 triangles and 256 object/groups.
- At most 16,384 characters per line, 1.5 million lines and 128 vertices per polygon.
- 30 seconds per mesh job. Browser memory and device speed can impose lower practical limits.
Processing happens in this browser; your file and filename are not uploaded. Cancel, reset or replace the file to stop its worker. Downloads are generated locally.
